What is Microneedling?
In our late 20s and early 30s, we start to lose about 1% of our collagen each year. This decrease contributes to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s so gradual that at first, we don’t notice it—until we do—and then it feels like, overnight, our skin changes drastically.
Microneedling is a skin treatment that combats collagen loss by stimulating the skin’s natural healing process. Think of it as sending your skin to the gym to work out and get stronger. It’s a treatment designed to improve the health of your skin, and healthy skin is the key to a youthful appearance.

How Does Microneedling Work?
Microneedling is a treatment that involves using a device with tiny, sterile needles to create small, controlled micro-injuries on the skin's surface. These micro-injuries are so small you won’t actually see them, but they trigger your skin to repair itself. When the skin senses these tiny injuries, it responds by producing more collagen and elastin, which are the building blocks of smooth, and youthful-looking skin.
Benefits of Microneedling

Microneedling can address a wide range of skin concerns, and help the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, acne scarrs, uneven skin tone, and large pores.
-
Fine lines and wrinkles: It increases collagen and elastin in the skin.
-
Acne scars: It helps smooth superficial scars by smoothing out uneven texture
-
Uneven skin tone: It reduces hyperpigmentation and sun damage by encouraging skin cell turnover
-
Large pores: It can make pores appear smaller by boosting collagen production and enhancing skin texture and elasticity.
Prep & Aftercare

PREP:
Microneedling is safe for most skin types but is not recommended for pregnant individuals or those with certain conditions. A consultation is required at least two weeks prior to your session. During the consultation, we’ll discuss microneedling basics, healing, expectations, and homecare preparation.
Avoid excessive sun exposure and waxing one week before your session. Stop using active ingredients like retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and Vitamin C five days prior to minimize sensitivity and ensure optimal results.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
During the treatment, you may feel mild discomfort, but it’s generally tolerable. Afterward, expect redness, warmth, tightness, and sensitivity, similar to a mild sunburn, which typically subsides within 24-48 hours. Your skin may feel dry or rough as it heals, with visible improvements appearing over the next few days to weeks.
AFTERCARE:
Avoid sun exposure and refrain from using any products, including sunscreen, for 24 hours. Stick to gentle, hydrating products from your recommended home care routine. Once your skin is no longer dry or sensitive, you can gradually reintroduce active ingredients into your regimen.
